| Sparkle of Nature is a family business
that began in 1994 after a defense layoff which encouraged us to become self-employed. It
was formally incorporated three years later, in 1997.
We began by making personalized handcrafted items such as earrings and decorative
T-shirts, which we sold in several California locations.
From 1994 until 1999 we traveled to Wal-Mart stores in eight western states, one
store per week, making name-related gifts as representatives of "The Name Zone."
Many of you who live in the western U.S. have met us in person in a Wal-Mart store. We
continued that work over the Internet for several years after settling in Wyoming in 1999.
Our family has a strong interest in encouraging individuals and churches to
"love their neighbors." Through the company, we’ve given several
"Sparkle" awards to churches or organizations we believed were serving their
communities well.
